They ran our cross-connect today and we’re now active at MICE!

We joined MICE! We’re connected via the NOCIX switch.

This week we finished moving our primary hypervisor to Kansas City, MO. This gives us greater control over our infrastucture and what we can offer.

We’re also in the process of connecting to MICE!

This week we will be updating our core infrastructure in Kansas City, MO.

We just setup a looking glass using bgp.tools!

Yesterday, we got IP transit from Rozint! The Rozint website doesn’t have a whole lot on it, but we were able to order the IP transit from F4 Networks.

It’s only 100Mbit/s, but they announce our routes to:

• Arelion
• ATT
• HE
• Cogent
• GTT

Right now we don’t need much bandwidth, so having a nice blend of transit options is nice.

The issue has been resolved! HE is now providing us with IPv6 transit!

After waiting for a couple of days, IPv6 still wasn’t working. I reached back out to HE and they’re looking into it. I don’t know if I broke something or helped them discover an issue with their automated filtering. Either way, I appreciate the free transit and their help.

I wanted to announce a unique IPv6 subnet from each of my points of presence. To do this I added the prefix 2602:F9F4:20::/44 in ARIN thinking I could then announce the 48’s from that prefix. However, I didn’t specify the Max Length when doing that. This restricted me to only announcing the entire 44.

The wonderful team at HE showed me what I did wrong. Since then I’ve updated the ROA and I’m waiting on that change to propagate. I’m using Cloudflare’s RPKI tool to check it.

I believe I’m using a pretty standard PathVector config, but I keep running into issues.

• HyeHost IPv6 Upstream can’t connect
• No IPv6 routes work
• Hurricane Electric IPv6 transit won’t work
• Tritan IPv6 transit won’t work

I suspect it has something to do with my IRR. The current version of my IRR is below. It can be frustrating to troubleshoot something that takes time to propagate.
